Launched in 2018, International Young Designers Contest gathers on one catwalk young designers from Eastern and Central Europe, who have already proven to be the best creative young minds in their countries. Each is the winner of their country's young designers' contests. IYDC is the platform, where the next big names in Fashion design are discovered, scouted and introduced to design experts, media, internationality and the public.

International Young Designers Contest is held annually in two stages: country-based and international. Partnering fashion organizations of Eastern and Central Europe run the National contests. Recognized experts from worldwide Fashion Capitals make up the Jury of International Finale. They conduct one on one interviews with every contestant, giving them valuable feedback, advice to assist in further development of their creativity and professionalism. IYDC Gala is held in the form of an open-air catwalk show, where each finalist presents their collection to the Jury, invited fashion experts, scouts and insiders, as well to international media and the public. The winner of the IYDC is awarded $10,000 USD.

International Young Designers Contest facilitates cross border exchange of the best practices in the development of young talents and generates strong interest from the prestigious world-wide fashion media to emerging talents of the Region.

International Young Designers Contest will enrich the present of European fashion today and give the added value to its creative prospect of tomorrow.

    Ukrainian Fashion Council is non-profit organization, supporting the professional development and creating opportunities to boost the creative potential of Ukrainian fashion designers. The Council facilitates the communication and cooperation between industry players, as well as presents this sector to media nationally and internationally. Since 2012 it is the member of European Fashion Council. From the year of its establishment, Ukrainian Fashion Council supports the National Contest of Young Designers «Look into the Future». The members of council, prominent Ukrainian designers, are party of the contest professional jury, who mentor the finalists and offers the talented youth internship opportunities in their ateliers.

    Czech Fashion Council is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to a Czech fashion industry, supporting the internal and external communication, industry liaisons and cooperation. Czech Fashion Council collaborates with educational institutions, professional companies and other stakeholders with objective to strengthen the position of Czech fashion industry on the national and international levels. CFC initiates an open dialog about latest fashion innovations and important questions, that fashion industry facing nowadays. CFC also supports young generation of fashion designers through the new talent selection competition Ski-Fi Safari, which has been taking place since 2003.
  • Estonian Fashion Festival

    Estonian Fashion Festival (EFF) is a festival to discover up and coming designers. Eff brought together three different fashion shows to one big lifestyle festival in Tartu that introduces young fashion design. The festival is a place for fashion professionals and general public to come together, share experiences, create new contacts and collaborations that reach across borders both in ideological and geographical perspective. Young designers are provided with a platform to showcase their work, educated in matters of marketing and branding through the festival's development program and given an opportunity to network with the industry professionals. The audience and fashion industry are given a chance to see fresh ideas and talents and be the first to nab the Next Big Thing.

    ERKI Fashion Show was first held in 1982 by students of Estonian Art Institute. Anne Metsis started it as a rebellious and avant-garde fashion event. During 37 years ERKI runway has been a breakthrough to many famous Estonian designers and grown to be one of the most important fashion events for up-and-coming designers in the Baltics. Remarkable is that it is still fully managed by the students of the Estonian Academy of Arts. Such young and creative management team together with designers are the main reason why ERKI Fashion Show is different from all the other professional fashion events in the field.

    BENEXT Contest gives a chance to young designers from Georgia to show their talents to the experts and professionals from around the world, that are invited to judge the Contest. Participants are graduates of fashion design schools and young designers who are just starting their careers. More than 10 years BENEXT opens the door to the fashion industry for many talented designers.
  • Hungarian Fashion and Design Agency

    The Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency is a not-for-profit organization that aims to put Hungarian fashion and creativity on the map. HFDA’s objective is to elevate fashion to serve as not only image but as cultural and artistic pillar of the country and also to give a collective sector support for the strategic areas of education, production and international business development. The HFDA organizes Budapest Central European Fashion Week, where the best established and emerging Hungarian and other international fashion designers have the opportunity to show their new collections for next season. Beside the local market HFDA goal is to build networks, partnerships and other forms of collaborations worldwide.
  • Latvijas Kulturas Koledza

    Latvian College of Culture at the Latvian Academy of Culture (LCC), is one of the most experienced and richest in traditions in Latvia. It offers modern education in Arts according to the demands of labor market. LCC mission is to ensure preparation of specialists in field of Culture for development of balanced sector according to the state culture policy. In 2017 in cooperation with Latvian Fashion Show, LLC initiated Meringue fashion show, as the platform to bring up a new generation of fashion. Meringue fashion show encourages students to be brave and express themselves in a creative atmosphere without limitations.
  • Mados Infekcija

    The «Fashion Infection» festival was launched in 1999 and has become most prominent festival of fashion and culture in Lithuania, attracting an increasingly large audience and number of artists who want to take part in it. Set and light designers, photographers, musicians, DJs, graphic designers, video artists — a like-minded group of professionals create all conditions for designers to make an interesting and unexpected presentation of their collections. «Fashion Infection» brings together young talents and fashion professionals from Lithuania and abroad. «Fashion Infection» affirms ideological freedom and is looking for new talents, but not for the representatives of commercial glamour.
  • ZP HOUSE

    Design and Technology Center «ZIPhouse», established in Moldova, is a creative innovation platform with focus on fashion, providing unrivaled opportunities for enriched knowledge, access to production facilities, inspirational resources and industry collaboration. Founded in 2016, ZIPhouse offers young designers, startups, professionals and academic staff an exceptional opportunity to sharpen their technological skills and design abilities. ZIPhouse community counts now more than 800 unique beneficiaries, and 20 accelerated startups. The Center aims to discover and support creative talent and emerging fashion designers. Overall, ZIPhouse’s mission is to connect Moldovan fashion to the global fashion world.
  • Fashion Designer Award Poland

    Fashion Designer Awards is a contest created in 2009 in order to support young talented people, whose dream is development and education in fashion and design. Fashion Designer Awards’ organizers desired to create a big, media attention grabbing event promoting new talents, giving young, creative people a start or further education in the field of Fashion Design. The most important in FDA since beginning are awards – internships in Poland and aboard, workshops and financial support of young designers.
  • Romanian Fashion Philosophy

    Romanian Fashion Philosophy is a long-term project that works to create economic development and opportunities for the next generation of fashion, accessories and textile designers in Romania, whose mission is to open doors to the global fashion industry. It brings fashion together & under one roof with music, performers, models and photographers. Each year Romanian Fashion Philosophy runs the Fashion Design Talents Competition, discovering the new emerging fashion designers in Romania.
  • Fashion Live!

    «Fashion LIVE!», organized by MÓLO, o.z, is nowadays biggest fashion event in Slovakia with history of 6 successful editions starting in 2013. Each year event host from 40 – 51 designers from Slovakia. Organizers also invite guest designers from Europe, usually it hosts up to 5 guest designers a year. Each day of «Fashion LIVE!» starts with fashion show of university students (Bratislava Art school, University of Zlin/CR, Budapest University). Then the most famous designers names in Slovakia present their latest collection on the catwalk of «Fashion LIVE!».
  • UFW

    Ukrainian Fashion Week - initiator, organizer and the official host of International Young Designers Contest. Founded at 1997, it became the first and the biggest prêt-à-porter fashion week in Eastern Europe. Each season UFW event accredits around 200 Ukrainian and international media, gathers over 20000 guests. Apart from being a fashion week, since year 2000 Ukrainian Fashion Week has been holding the national talent scouting contest «Look into the Future». In 2003 UFW founded New Names and Fresh Fashion projects to put an emphasis on emerging designers. As a result, UFW has a strong reputation and wide experience in developing new generation of talented designers.

10:00-13:00 Kyiv Fashion Summit, by invitations

The main event of Kyiv Fashion Summit will be the conference which consists of two panel discussions on the following topics: “Ukraine Now: The Role of Creative Industries in Promoting the Country” and “CREATE.Ukraine: Creative Visa-Free Mode in the Fashion Industry”.

Kyiv Fashion Summit will be held with the support of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine and the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.

17:30-18:30 – Presentation of Fashion Visual Art Residence results. Interview of participants with International and Ukrainian media

FVAR photo exhibit: In one visual context, the story of human society today: diverse, but tolerant, where individualistic talents are synergized in a multicultural environment.

19:00-20:00 – Gala catwalk show, presentation of collections (by invitations)

17 finalists from 10 countries will present their mini-collections on the main catwalk of the 2nd International Young Designers Contest.
