A sneak peek of IYDC’s backstage
In the first week of September, the photo and video shooting of the 19 collections of IYDC 2020 finalists were completed. The team worked two days on the set of Mystetskyi Arsenal National Art and Culture Museum Complex. Twenty-six models were involved in the video shooting. Makeup and hairstyling were provided by the professional team of Y.Vision Agency. Shoes for filming were supplied by the chain of stores of branded shoe wear INTERTOP.
Maryna Rybalko and Kirill Kharitontsev worked at the video shooting site.
Kirill Kharitonzev is Ukrainian fashion designer, the founder of brand Kir-Khartley, which is favoured by well-known and popular local music bands such as the HARDKISS, NK, Tamerlan and many others. The seasonal collections of his brand have been featured in Vogue.ua, L'Officiel.ua, Elle, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan. As the stylist, Kirill is working with many Ukrainian A-list celebrities.
Maryna Rybalko is Ukrainian fashion designer, stylist and artist. In 2013 she established her fashion brand RYBALKO, distinguished by the creation of unusual textures. In 2017 Maryna created the costumes collection "Radical ritual" for Ukrainian delegation in the art-event of Burning man. As the stylists, the designer is cooperating with TV shows and projects, and also is invited to work for a few Ukrainian musicians, as for example internationally known world-music quartet DakhaBrakha. In 2019 Maryna launched her photo project RELATIONS, for which she styled all of the looks.
Looks of IYDC finalists’ collections were shot by a fashion-photographer, Valeriy Veduta, who collaborates with such publications as Vogue UA, L’Officiel-online Ukraine, Harper’s Bazaar Ukraine.
The contest is organized by the Ukrainian Fashion Council with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. IED - Istituto Europeo di Design is the IYDC partner, award fund contributor and co-organizer of the online Fashion Visual Art Residence.
